We built Visor because the old way kept breaking
Most business owners don't have a finance problem. They have a system problem — and the tools available were built for accountants, not for the people running the business.
Built around how small businesses actually operate
Most financial tools weren't built for small business owners. They were built for accountants.
That's why the experience feels fragmented:
- Bookkeeping lives in one place
- Tax strategy happens somewhere else
- Financial visibility is delayed or unclear
You end up reacting instead of planning. Cleaning up instead of moving forward.
Visor exists to change that.
We built an accounting system that connects bookkeeping, tax strategy, and tax filing into a single, continuous workflow — so your numbers stay accurate, your tax plan stays current, and your decisions are based on real data.
This isn't about doing your books faster. It's about running your business with clarity.
Where Visor started
Visor didn't start as a product idea. It started with a gap Mitchell Baldridge, CPA CFP®, saw repeatedly while working directly with small business owners.
The tools available were either too generic or too manual. In one case, a client showed up with a spreadsheet that worked better than the software meant to replace it. That was the turning point.
The problem wasn't a lack of tools. It was the lack of a system — and the accounting profession wasn't going to build one. So Mitchell did.
Visor was built from the ground up around how small businesses actually operate — not around how accounting software is structured.
Software runs the system. Our expert team with licensed CPAs owns the outcome.
DIY software
You're keeping the books yourself — or trying to. The tools exist, but organizing them, interpreting them, and connecting them to a tax strategy still falls on you. When something goes wrong, there's no one on your side to catch it.
Traditional accounting firm
A CPA you meet with once a year, who files your taxes after the fact, and who bills hourly every time you need something. Not built for ongoing visibility or proactive planning — and not designed to keep your books current in between.

A system that runs your books, reporting, and tax process continuously — with licensed CPAs accountable for the outcome, not just the deliverables. Software handles the operational layer. CPAs own the work.
- Your books stay current
- Your tax strategy evolves throughout the year
- Your financial picture stays clear and usable
You get a system that runs continuously — without losing the context of human expertise.
Meet the team
Visor is led by an expert tax team — including licensed CPAs — which matters more than it might seem. Most tech-forward bookkeeping services are not CPA firms. Visor is. That means the team accountable for your books, your tax plan, and your year-end filing carries the professional credential and legal responsibility that comes with it.
The team has worked directly with small business owners across dozens of industries. The patterns are consistent:
- Messy books that delay decisions
- Reactive tax planning that leads to surprises
- Tools that create more work instead of less
Visor was built to solve those problems at the system level — not just process them faster.
Your business deserves an accounting system that actually works. Let us handle it.
Books that stay current. Tax planning that runs all year. Reporting you can actually use. One system, one team, one monthly fee.
